Patient-Partner

Sharon Roman

Sharon Roman is a patient-partner and writer for the British Medical Journal group. Roman is a member of the Patient Advisory Board for the Canadian Medical Association Journal and Co-Chair of the Brain Wellness Program at the Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health. She also served a full term on the Patient Editorial Board for the Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry from 2018-2020 and is a past MS Society of Canada webinar host.

In addition to magazines and newspapers, (e.g., The Globe and Mail), Roman has been published 11 times in 3 medical journals to date; 7 in British Medical Journal (BMJ), 2 in Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry (JNNP) and 2 in Multiple Sclerosis Journal (MSJ).
